"Guldgubber" are sheet-gold plaques with male and female figures. A few are found in Jylland, Fyn and Sjælland, numerous are found on Bornholm.
This guldgubbe is believed to be the Nordic god Frey embracing a woman. Guldgubber were perhaps good-luck charms to ensure fertility and a successful union.
