    Description:
    Viking age (800-1050 AD).
This symbol appears in many of the distinctive finds from the Viking age, for example in the filigree brooch found at Hornelund by Ribe, and in the intertwined bands of the stone-cuttings of the Jellinge stones. It was later known to the Nordic people as "Set Johns Arms" and believed to be a protective symbol.___________________________________________________
