Viking age. (800-1050 AD).
The original, found in 1979 at York, England, was cast in base silver. The brooch has a central boss with cross surrounded by smaller bosses. Concentric ribs imitate similar brooches of the Viking period which were made from twisted thread.
Also available as brooch.
